2017 Domaine Kientzler Pinot Gris Osterberg Grand Cru
Osterberg Grand Cru is a terroir which guarantees its varietals balanced growth, fed by the resources of a site which draws brilliant light from the sky and a genuine mineral mosaic from the ground. Coupled with Kientzler family who has been growing vines for more than 5 generations in Alsace, the outcome is spectacular. Bouquet of slight minerality but mainly muted. Content felt very ripe fruit driven, leaning more towards ripe red apple and pear. Lovely balance with stress on fruits. Paired well with spicy fish of which I had tonight.
