2018 Antoine Jobard Meursault Genevrieres 1er Cru

This Genevrieres is one of the most popular plot from Meursault, I would rank it just right behind Perrieres and ahead of Porusots, thus I do have high expectations from producers making wines from this plot, and probably a litmus test of whether the winemaker meets my expectations or not. Sadly, I have reservations about this bottle. Bouquet was unimpressed with relatively muted fragrance and lightly lemon skin nose. The content has nothing striking, with substantial lemon juice taste, although the good point is that this wine has got good finesse. I wouldn’t strongly recommend anyone to try this wine. Perhaps the wine is too young for evaluation right now?
