2018 Henri Boillot Puligny Montrachet Premier Cru Clos de la Mouchere Monopole
My second bottle of this vintage and I have downgraded the score slightly as it seemed that this bottle wasn’t as good as the first one I had, not sure if it’s individual bottle or for some other reasons. From the photo, it’s a bowl of crocodile herbal soup, paired nicely with Clos de la Mouchere. Bouquet of almost summer floral notes. Content was very rich, very ripe, a bit too dense compared to the last bottle I had, with insufficient acidity to back it up, there are a great loads of honey lemon along with pear and white flowers. From this bottle’s judgment alone, this maybe one of the poorest vintages I’ve ever had from Clos de la Mouchere, I sincerely hoped I have a poor bottle today.
