2018 Monte Zovo Caligo Rosso Veronese IGT 2018
A table wine from Veneto of Italy, which is the territory for producer Monte Zovo, as they have been producing wines here for multiple generations. This wine uses same grapes as Valpolicella, mainly Corvina Veronese, Rondinella and Molinara. This wine is fresh, lively and vibrant. I enjoyed the red fruits and a subtle herbal tone. I had some cheese with this wine tonight which is a so-so pairing, I believed it goes extremely well with pizza given its youthful character.
