2020 Juliette Amat Crozes Hermitage "Les Belles Terrasses"
Coming from Northern Rhone’s Croze-Hermitage, it’s a relatively large area, thus production is relatively large as well, however, quality from this region is not consistent, so it’s important to be selective. This Juliette Amat 100% Shiraz/Syrah brought surprises to me, as for such a young wine, I thought it wouldn’t be ready to be consumed. Quite on the contrary, it’s very approachable, gentle and with decent elegance, and in fact with stainless steel aging, along with a bouquet of black fruit notes, it’s worth a drink without giving too much thoughts.
