Trotanoy, almost a cult wine status in Bordeaux, was owned by JP Moueix family. The current owner of the property once said, the only vintage that he got confused with between Petrus and Trotanoy was 1998. And I have the absolute pleasure to drink this today.
Amongst the 3 vintages, 78, 83 & 98, 98 was really superior although not quite ready to drink right now. 83 was average Pomerol, while 78 was another fantastic vintage showing the cult wine status with matured and bold fruits.
