Ka Va Lan from Taiwan took the world by the storm when a panel of experts voted it as the best whiskies amongst a crowded field of single malts. I tasted the Solist Vinho Barrique a while back, it was certainly unique in its own way. Thus out of curiosity, I wanted to find out more, so I attended the master class and tasted 6 of their single malt whiskies. I think it’s a one off blizzard, not going to be able to sustain it’s current status for long, just like pop music. Wish them luck!
