Kavalan Podium
A STEP BETTER
Comparing this Podium and the previously reported Classic, this was perhaps a grade better. At 46% abv, it’s not light. Fully matured in American Oak, which created those fiery and spicy characters.
Surprisingly mild and light vanilla and slight toast on the nose. Content was very fiery and spicy, I get some citrus, lychee and sweet fruits. Negatively, the whisky was a bit too hollow in its flavor. I still consider it as an entry level.
