UNEXPECTED RIESLING
My first encounter of Chinese Riesling, kinda weird although drinkable.
It’s almost a fusion of Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay, although it does possess some Riesling characters like dry sweetness. The greenness of Sauvignon Blanc was prominent, coupled with the buttery flavor of Chardonnay, making this Riesling an unexpected taste. China is still far away from producing decent general consumer wines.
