Wine By Bok - 9.75/10 stars
Consensus #1 Amongst the 8 Bottles Opened!
Together with 10 other wine experts, Bok tasted 8 bottles of 1985 Bordeaux wines side by side in a quest to find out the best! 1985 Bordeaux Fighters include Mouton Rothschild, Leoville Las Cases, Gruaud Larose, Ducru Beaucaillou, Figeac, La Lagune, Certan de May and La Gaffeliere.
Mouton was Wine of the Day and consensus #1 choice amongst the 8 bottles opened. It wasn't surprising, as Mouton typically won by strong and powerful fruits, which has been a tradition prior to 89. This wine still has long life ahead as shown by it's tannins and strong fruits! EXCELLENT!"

What an awe-inspiring nose of currants, shaved lead pencil, white truffles and earth. It's full-bodied and enveloped by silky tannins that lead to an earthy, long finish. Old, traditional Bordeaux with soul and remarkable complexity. Sensational. (10/2015)
