Wine by Bok: 9.25/10 stars
If you like wines that mirror the Lafite style but offer a fresher, more youthful spirit, this wine is perfect for you!
Owned by the same Rothschild family behind Lafite, this 1988 Duhart Milon shows a charming resemblance to its famed sibling. After a one-hour decant (best at 1.5–2 hours), the seductive nose immediately evokes Lafite , alluring, elegant, and perfectly mature. On the palate, it’s surprisingly youthful for its age, vibrant and full of life, though with a slightly firmer body and less polish than Lafite itself.
A stunning, authentic Pauillac that overdelivers in character and pedigree. Lafite enthusiasts seeking remarkable value and youthful energy in a mature Bordeaux.
