1989 Bruichladdich Black Art 3rd Edition 22 Year Old Single Malt Whisky, Islay, Scotland - 700ml
Distillery Notes
The rare 3rd release of the vintage 1989 22 year old Bruichladdich Black Art 03.1 limited edition release Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, bottled in 2012 in a limited edition without added colouring and chill-filltration at cask strength 48.7% vol. The Bruichladdich Black Art 03.1 Islay Single Malt matured for 22 years in selected Bourbon / American oak and French red wine casks in the old warehouse and the result is a great, intense and complex Islay single malt, which convinces with its walnut-brown colour and wonderful aromas. Since the reopening of Bruichladdich by independent bottler Murray McDavid in 2000 - and especially under the leadership of Jim McEwan, the distillery and its whisky have shone like never before. Jim McEwan - born on Islay and former master distiller at Bowmore - made a return to the original and natural in the production of Scotch whisky. The Bruichladdich Black Art limited edition whiskies represent the black magic and the special art of master distiller Jim McEwan - the Black Art 03.1 Islay single malt is the penultimate bottling under the direction of Jim McEwan from this famous and legendary series. A great and exceptional Bruichladdich Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky for connoisseurs and whisky collectors that is now rarely found.
