Nestled on the sun-kissed slopes of Margreid, these vineyards lie between 220 and 350 metres above sea level, perfectly oriented south-southeast for optimal ripening. The soils — rich in limestone gravel with generous humus — lend both power and elegance to the fruit. In the glass, the wine reveals a deep, brilliant ruby hue, followed by an expressive bouquet of ripe cherries, juicy blackberries, and subtle liquorice spice. The palate is warm, generous, and beautifully rounded, with silky, finely balanced tannins that glide effortlessly across the tongue. The finish is long, smooth, and luxuriously full, leaving a lasting impression of depth, harmony, and refined Alpine character.
Rising to the very pinnacle of winemaking in Alto Adige, Cantina Nals Margreid is celebrated for crafting some of the region’s most precise, expressive, and terroir-driven wines — especially its world-class whites. Through meticulous vineyard selection and uncompromising quality standards, the winery produces standout icons such as Pinot Bianco Sirmian, Sauvignon Mantele, and Pinot Grigio Punggl, alongside elegant reds from the Baron Salvadori range and the classic Schiava Galea — true benchmarks of the appellation. Their excellence has been consistently recognised by Italy’s most prestigious wine authority, Gambero Rosso Guida Vini d’Italia.
