The vineyards face east to south-east at around 260 meters elevation. The vines grow on limestone soils marked by Comblanchien-style hard rock surface outcrops and shallow topsoil, a setting that encourages natural concentration. The lieu-dit Les Charmes lies just below the grand cru Clos de la Roche, alongside Mazoyères-Chambertin, placing it in one of the most prestigious environments of the Côte de Nuits. From viticulture to vinification, all practices are carefully adjusted to each vintage to craft the finest wines while preserving the typicity of the terroir. Ageing takes place in oak barrels, including one third new oak for this appellation, to enhance complexity without masking origin. The wine shows a harmonious balance of roundness, freshness, and supple tannins. Its floral nose leads to a delicate, richly textured palate with remarkably smooth tannic structure, making it approachable and charming from youth. Production is extremely limited, with only 900 bottles produced.
